Do you like to spend time cooking or eating? Or do you just want to know somewhat random things about food and drinks? This book is the right one to turn to for some cool recipes, and interesting facts about history of food.

I think it is an interesting read – from how to fry an egg and how to cook snails that you might find in your back-garden (finally there’s something to do with them!), to how a lot of Europeans don’t like the taste nor smell of coriander.

If you’ve got a friend who’s really into cooking, but you don’t want to give them a cookbook as a present, then this book would be the right choice.

You can read about what sort of wine to buy, and what and why to use in food, how to mix cocktails, etc.

A lot of cool stuff. And I’m not even that into cooking… still it was interesting and a quick read.

I got access to this book via NetGalley.com
